The main advantage of the Chalkidiki peninsula over other
regions of the country is that it does not have long distances, but does have a
big enough coastline (approximate length is 500 kilometres).
Due to its
"trident", which forms the peninsula, and three bays, the sea here is
absolutely clean and warm, with plenty of beaches to suit all tastes and
pleasures, mild climate and, finally, proximity to the international airport of
Thessaloniki and the capital itself.
The maximum distance from the airport to the
most remote places of the peninsula is one and a half hours away (by car).
Peninsula Kassandra is the first part of the "trident", where all
settlements are located at a maximum of five kilometres away from each other.
All year round your eyes will be delighted by the evergreen peninsula covered
with pine forests, olive groves and palm trees.
In summer time, the maximum
temperature is 35 degrees.
In winter, the temperature drops to no lower than -4
-5 degrees (at night in a coldest week). The average winter temperature is +14
+18 degrees.
The climate is mild, air is fresh, food is natural.
This is a real
Greek fairy tale!
