Benefits of studying in Greek universities

If you have an interest in studying at a Greek university, it would be helpful for you to know that education for foreigners in Greece is free of charge.
At the time of enrolling into a university, it is not necessary to know the Greek language because foreigners are given one year to develop their language skills.
Enrolling takes place on the basis of total score in school certificate or diploma of secondary vocational education.
When necessary, it is possible to obtain a place in a hostel, receive a card for free meals, free visits of the university sports complex, museums and historical landmarks. It provides students with a discount on travel on virtually all types of public transport, including ferries.
Students of Greek universities are granted residence permit for the entire period of study. Student residence permits students to work for up to four hours a day.
Also, students can participate in international exchange programs, such as Erasmus, for six months or more.
Some students have the opportunity to train in major European and US universities, with internship taking place in the framework of scientific research conducted by certain universities in Greece (mostly by the University of Crete, which is included in the list of four best universities in the world).
