The picturesque coastal village of Ornos is located two kilometers south-west of the town of Mykonos. Its distinguishing feature is a small, quiet and windless sheltered harbour, where fishing boats moor.  

Over the past years, in the course of rapid development, Ornos has become a popular tourist resort. There are many hotels and apartments as well as a supermarket and taverns – all within walking distance one from another. In addition, the resort is famous for its nightlife.

Ornos also has a long and clean beautiful beach, which is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. There are many hotels, apartments, bars and restaurants erected in this area.  

You can reach by sea beaches of Elia, Agrari and Plintri (Super Paradise) as well as the famous beach of Psarou, where holidaymakers have the opportunity to enjoy water sports.  

Compared with other beaches of Mykonos, Ornos Beach, alongside with Psarou, has an incomparable advantage. Namely, you can easily swim even when a strong north wind is blowing and rising waves in the open sea. That is why this place is a perfect destination for family a holiday with small children.  

Moreover, the beach is connected with the settlement through a regular bus service. After swimming and relaxing in the sea, you can (according to your taste and choice) have delicious and satisfying lunch in one of the many restaurants along the waterfront and also enjoy plenty of wonderful fish dishes as well as other culinary delights of the Mediterranean cuisine.
